Friendy's Footy Safe Tackle Program
Friendy's Footy is a safe tackle program aimed to introduce and prepare kids for all the fundamental and physical skills used in a game of rugby league within a safe environment.
This program will be run as a 30 to 45-minute session over a 4-week period alongside Sydney Roosters accredited coaches.
The aim of the 4-week program is to increase each child’s confidence in all tackling situations and develop their competence as a rugby league player.
The camp is aimed at kids aged between 4-6 years of age.
Friendy’s Footy focus areas include:
- Landing safely
- Ball handling
- Catch and pass
- Running into a tackle
- Basic fundamentals of a tackle and tackle selection
This is a great way for all children to gain confidence, come and try rugby league and have fun!
Location: Waverley Park, Field 3
Time: 4:45 PM to 5:30 PM
Dates: Every Tuesday in February: 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd.
All registrations must be submitted before Monday 1st February places are limited so get in quick.
All participants will receive a Sydney Roosters drink bottle to bring to each training session!!
