Reconciliation Action Plan
The Sydney Roosters Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is the Club's formal plan to advance reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians.
The plan outlines the Sydney Roosters vision for reconciliation and is endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, the lead body for reconciliation in Australia.
Under Reconciliation Australia's RAP framework guidelines, the plan sets measurable targets under three pillars of engagement including Relationships, Respect and Opportunities.
The Club has a deep history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players, the most famous being Roosters Legend Arthur Beetson, the first Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander to Captain Australia, whose legacy still lives on at the Roosters.
Our second RAP has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia as an Innovate RAP, which highlights our continued commitment to advancing reconciliation.
The plan echoes our desire to produce meaningful, mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.
The RAP forms part of the Club's wider Indigenous strategy and demonstrates the Roosters' commitment to developing and implementing engaging approaches to reconciliation and advocating it throughout the organisation.

Sydney Roosters respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
