WARD & the Sydney Roosters
ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
Since partnering with the Club in 2018, WARD has been an integral support partner of the Sydney Roosters Reconciliation Action Plan, community initiatives and female Rugby League pathways.
WARD & The Sydney Roosters
As part of the partnership with the Roosters, WARD is the Co-Major Partner of the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy (SRIA) and a Platinum Partner of the Sydney Roosters NRLW team. Through these two teams, WARD has provided much-needed support to the growing game of female Rugby League, providing resources and flexible job opportunities to ensure players can keep playing at the highest level.
WARD is also the Presenting Partner of the Sydney Roosters annual Arthur Beetson Family Fun Day, an event held during NAIDOC Week for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community on the Central Coast. This initiative has led to WARD forming a separate partnership with The Glen Centre, which is a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre for Indigenous and non-Indigenous males on the Central Coast.
About Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy
In early 2018 the Sydney Roosters announced the formalisation of a relationship with the Sydney Indigenous Academy Under 19s Women’s Tarsha Gale team, which has since been renamed the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy (SRIA). The SRIA is a women’s team that participate in the NSW Tarsha Gale Cup in a fully branded Roosters Playing Jersey. The team is supported by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Coaches and Ambassadors from the Roosters’ NRL Women’s Premiership team.
