In Round 13 of the 2024 NRL Telstra Premiership Season, Blake Steep became the second Sydney Roosters Academy player to make his First Grade NRL Debut against the North Queensland Cowboys.
For Steep, a Port Macquarie Sharks junior, this represented years of hard work, overcoming an ACL injury in 2023 to get back on the field and in a position to become Sydney Rooster #1231.
Hundreds of Steep’s friends and family were on hand to cheer him on, including all of his Sydney Roosters Academy teammates.
Steep was Captain of the 2024 Sydney Roosters SG Ball team and was also named Captain of the NSW Under 19 State of Origin team.
