Our Community
At the Sydney Roosters, supporting community initiatives is a core value, central to our strategic pillar of "We Give to Our Community". We are dedicated to proudly representing our community and delivering impactful programs that make a meaningful difference.
League of Roosters
Launched in 2016 by Chairman, Nick Politis AM, the League of Roosters initiative embodies our commitment to proudly support clubs that share the Roosters name, both within Australia and internationally. Currently, 30 clubs are part of the League of Roosters Program, benefiting from our resources and insights to enhance their efforts in the Rugby League community.
Member clubs can attend Sydney Roosters home games, engage with our staff and players, and gain valuable knowledge to apply to their clubs. Additionally, we provide support for fundraising initiatives and grant applications, reinforcing our dedication to empowering those who represent the Roosters spirit.
The Sydney Roosters Inclusion Program
The Sydney Roosters Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that are inclusive to people of all levels and abilities.
The Sydney Roosters partner with the New South Wales Physical Disability Rugby League Association to enter a team in the New South Wales PDRL Competition.
The mission of the NSW PDRLA is to provide children and adults with a physical disability the opportunity to participate in a fun, inclusive sport and be a part of the Rugby League family.
The Sydney Roosters Foundation is proud to support our NSWPDRL team and continue to provide opportunities for Rugby League players of all abilities.
The Sydney Roosters’ commitment to inclusion also extends to supporting the Trainer Group Foundation, facilitated by Sydney Roosters NRLW players including Millie Elliot, Keeley Davis, and Olivia Kernick.
The Trainer Group Foundation is building the next generation of game changers with its wellbeing program. The Game Changer Program aims to build confidence in participants, helping them make new friends and feel empowered to apply their unique strengths within their wider community.
Targeted at recent school leavers and adults with disability or accessibility requirements, the five-week program is comprised of two hours of face-to-face per week, with one hour of indoor classroom-based learning and one hour of outdoor physical activity.
Sydney Roosters Junior Rugby League
The Sydney Roosters are deeply committed to supporting junior clubs, players, coaches, and volunteers throughout the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and the Central Coast.
With 19 clubs and over 7,500 registered players across these regions, we provide crucial financial support, resources, and governance to ensure the ongoing success and growth of junior leagues. We aim to create the best opportunities for the development of young talent.
Recent graduates from our junior leagues who have gone on to make their mark in the NRL with the Roosters include Victor Radley, Billy Smith, and Lachlan Lam. Our commitment to nurturing these future stars underscores our dedication to the long-term success of junior rugby league.
Sydney Roosters respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
