Our Future
Focused on shaping our future, this initiative aligns with our strategic pillar of "We Build Our Future." It underscores our commitment to advancing the Sydney Roosters' facilities and equipment, laying the foundations for continued growth and success.
NRLW Centre Of Excellence
The Sydney Roosters, in partnership with the AFL, have secured a $15 million investment from the NSW Government for the redevelopment of Showring Oval, located within the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park.
This project, which represents a total investment of approximately $40 million, will deliver a new home for women’s sports with state-of-the-art facilities that meet NRLW standards, complete with broadcast lighting and a new High-Performance Centre.
This new facility will become the dedicated home for our NRLW team and pathways programs, embodying our commitment to providing world-class resources and support for our women's teams and emerging talent.
To realise this vision and ensure elite training and administration facilities for our NRLW squad and development programs, the Sydney Roosters are committed to contributing $8.5 million to the project.
You can play a crucial role in bringing this vision to life by supporting the Sydney Roosters Foundation.
Total Project Cost: $40 million
Matraville Sports High School
In Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, where green space is at a premium, the Sydney Roosters are committed to fostering unique and mutually beneficial partnerships to secure access to quality fields for our Pathways, Academy, and Junior Representative teams. Matraville Sports High School has become a cornerstone for these programs, but it now requires significant upgrades to keep up with the evolving standards of modern community infrastructure.
The planned upgrades include a surface redevelopment, including enhanced irrigation and drainage, and improved off-field facilities to better support the school’s programs and our needs.
If you are interested in supporting this initiative and partnering with us to enhance these facilities, please contact the Sydney Roosters Foundation.
Wentworth Park
Wentworth Park in Glebe, established in 1882 and hosting our Club’s inaugural match in 1908, has proudly served as the home of the Sydney Roosters NSW Cup team since we launched our standalone team in 2023. This historic venue, which is also the long-time home of the Glebe Dirty Reds, is in urgent need of significant upgrades to continue as a premier rugby league venue beyond 2027.
To enhance this cherished facility, we are committed to strengthening existing partnerships and investing in high-quality improvements. Upgrades to the grandstand, change rooms, and drainage systems are essential to meet modern standards and support our women’s teams and pathways programs effectively.
By partnering with the local community and government, we aim to ensure Wentworth Park remains a top-tier venue and a much-loved public asset for future generations. For those interested in supporting this vital project, please contact the Sydney Roosters Foundation.
Central Coast Rugby League Facilities
Since 2015, the Sydney Roosters have fostered a strong partnership with Rugby League Central Coast, playing a crucial role in nurturing local talents like Connor Watson, Sandon Smith, Isabelle Kelly, and Jasmine Strange who have all progressed to the elite level.
We are committed to enhancing the facilities at our partner high schools, Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College and Central Coast Sports College, to better support our Central Coast Academy and Pathways teams. To strengthen these facilities and serve the thriving Central Coast community, essential upgrades include improved field lighting, enhanced drainage, and inclusive change rooms, ensuring the venues are equipped for both matches and training and ongoing school use.
This investment underscores our dedication to providing high-quality facilities and reinforcing our existing partnerships within the Central Coast community. For those interested in supporting this initiative, please contact the Sydney Roosters Foundation.
