Waverley Bowling Club was yesterday transformed into a Red, White and Blue Rooster-land as the Easts Group Club hosted Members, fans, friends and players at our annual Fan Day.
With the full squad in attendance, following their entertaining win over the Tigers the night before, the crowd were spoilt for choice in who they got to see and meet before the boys turn their attention to Round 1 in just 10 days time.
With face-painting, skills activities, autograph stations and a DJ entertaining the crowd, the near three hour event was a great day out for all, including fan-favourite Jared Waerea-Hargreaves who spoke to Roosters.com.au following the festivities.
Its always awesome to interact with everyone and see how stoked they are to have these days.
All the boys love it and you see the same people every time and have great chats, but theres always some new fans that its great to get to know as well, he said.
With the NRL season opener just under two weeks away, the boys will now switch their focus solely to the March 7 encounter at Allianz Stadium.
Waerea-Hargreaves, whos been a part of plenty of Roosters/Rabbitohs clashes in his time in the Tricolous, believes theres something a little bit more special about the first of the 2013 season.
Everyone's pumped and can't wait for Round 1.
Its overwhelming to see the buzz and hear what everyone has to say, here today especially. Its always so great to hear the passion that our Members and fans have and theyre just excited as for this season, and especially for Round 1.
It should be a cracker of a way to kick off the NRL season!
