Roosters skipper Anthony Minichiello has been ruled out of Saturday nights Allianz Stadium clash with the Canberra Raiders after the fullback hyper-extended his right knee in the record-breaking win over the Penrith Panthers last Friday night.

Minichiello suffered the injury in the opening minutes of the Round 20 clash at Centrebet Stadium, however managed to play on until he was replaced in the 68th minute by coach Trent Robinson with the match all but wrapped up.

It is expected that Minichiello will miss 2-3 weeks of action.
