Having enjoyed a well deserved break at the end of last season, Mitchell Pearce is fit and firing at Roosters HQ and today he cast his eye over the 2014 NRL draw, and there were a few big games that caught his attention.
As is often the case, the number seven went straight to our first home game and stressed the importance of getting things off to a winning start in front of a devoted home crowd.
"The Eels will be a big game for us because I'm sure they will be a much better side this year and it's always really important to get off to a good start."
"I love the first home game because you can always be sure there will be a big crowd there and this year should be no different, we really want people to get out there for this one."

Like all last years Tricolours players, Pearce reserved special mention for the massive effort of Members and fans in the premiership winning season.
"The atmosphere last year was unreal and it was great to see big crowds and to put our numbers up there will all the big sides was a great effort."
"Personally I feel as if I play better when our fans are there cheering us home so hopefully that is something we can expect to receive again in 2014."
The NSW halfback also couldn't help but give a special mention to the final home game of the year.
"Every game against Souths is a massive one for us," Pearce said.
"Being our final home game of the season hopefully we will be in a good position and we can put in a big effort in front of a massive home crowd."
