It may be only two months since Anthony Minichiello held the NRL Premiership trophy aloft at ANZ Stadium, but the mood amongst Roosters Fans certainly hasn't died as was evident at today's Members Only Christmas BBQ.

And, the feeling amongst the players isn't any different.

"The mood and the excitement around is just unbelievable, it's really special," said Shaun Kenny-Dowall when asked how the morning had been mingling with Members following a tough session under the summer sun.

"These are the really special events, the ones you get to share with those people that give their everything to support you throughout the year."

"All the boys love this kind of thing and today's the first one we've had since the win back in October and it doesn't feel like too long ago with the way everyone is."

Under the watchful eye of Assistants Jason Taylor and Craig Fitzgibbon, the Squad - minus those who took part in the Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) - were put through their paces in some attacking drills and a boxing session held by Australian legend Jonny Lewis.

However it wasn't just the Coaching Staff watching on as 2014 Members were invited into the inner sanctum as a part of our annual Christmas BBQ and Open Training Session at Moore Park, as Pre-Season training continues prior to the break for the festive season.

With the BBQ burning away, the DJ pumping tunes, kids having their faces painted, the jumping castle in full bounce and much, much more on offer, the Members mingled with their heroes for the first time since the Club's thirteenth Premiership victory on October 6.

And Kenny-Dowall - along with team mates Mitchell Pearce, James Maloney, Jake Friend, Mitchell Aubusson, Isaac Liu and Daniel Mortimer - were like superstars among the Tricolours faithful, something they hope to continue to feel when the new season rolls around.

"It's certainly a different feel to previous seasons, entering into the Pre-Season schedule as Premiers, but it's something that feels good and is definitely a feeling we want to continue to feel."

"We had a great year, no question, but that's now behind us and the Squad is focused on looking ahead to the 2014 season and continuing to build on what we've built this year."

"Celebrations are over, bring on the new season!"
