The Sydney Roosters SG Ball side have come from 20 points down to beat the Penrith Panthers 34-30 and claim the 2014 Premiership in a golden point thriller at Leichhardt Oval this afternoon.

A slow start saw the Junior Roosters blown off the park in the opening third of the match with the Panthers racking up four tries to leave the Tricolours trailing by 20.

However a strong finish to the first half saw the sides head into the sheds at 20-all.

It was again the Panthers who dominated the opening minutes in the second-half, with Tony Barnes' Roosters side again having to dig deep in the dying stages of the half to level it up at 30-all at full time.

In an end-to-end, golden point battle the boys went toe-to-toe with the Panthers but finally prevailed after Man of the Match Latrell Mitchell danced, dived and ducked his way through the defensive line to score under the posts.
