Sydney is set to welcome its newest Rooster with Head Coach Trent Robinson confirming young-gun Willis Meehan will take his place in the seventeen for tonight's clash with the Newcastle Knights at Allianz Stadium.

Meehan was named as one of five reserves in Tuesday's sportsbet.com.au Team Announcement, with Robinson opting to stick with the hard-hitting, hard-running backrower in place of front-rower Kane Evans.

Evans will drop out of the side which sees Meehan joined by Isaac Liu, Remi Casty and Daniel Mortimer on the bench.

The side remains unchanged otherwise.

Roosters (1-13): Anthony Minichiello, Nene Macdonald, Mitchell Aubusson, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, James Maloney, Mitchell Pearce, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Friend, Sam Moa, Dylan Napa, Sonny Bill Williams, Frank-Paul Nuuausala

Bench (14-17): Isaac Liu, Remi Casty, Willis Meehan, Daniel Mortimer
