Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Mitchell Pearce have today been named as part of Wayne Bennett's NRL All Stars 20-man Squad for their clash with the Indigenous All Stars at Gold Coast's Cbus Super Stadium.

The Roosters-duo are among some of the game's biggest stars including Kieran Foran (Sea Eagles), James Graham (Bulldogs) and Paul Gallen (Cronulla) for the February 13 clash.

The side will be led by Newcastle Knights backrower Beau Scott.

Pearce will link up with good mate Foran for the first time since dominating the NSW Schools competition as youngsters, while Hargreaves will partner fellow enforcer Graham for the first time also.

Former Roosters Captain Anthony Minichiello
said the duo were deserving of their selection after strong finishes to the 2014 season.

"Junior [Pearce] finished 2014 in career best form and as arguably the game's best playmaker," Minichiello said.

"Jared again had a big season leading from the front last year and will no doubt kick off 2015 in his usual style, which I'm sure Fans will enjoy in this star-studded clash."

"I'm excited to see the boys in action and lets hope they can pull together a win."

Besides lining up with and against some of the game's biggest stars, Minichiello also said the value in the pair being mentored by Bennett was something that would only add to their game.

"He's the game's most successful Coach and I know in my time I spent underneath him, I learnt things that I used up until the final days of my career," Minichiello said.
