With Round 23 done and dusted in 2015, only two rounds remain and three teams are fighting it out for the top spot in the competition.

With just three rounds of the regular season remaining, the Roosters have won nine games straight, currently placing the club in second position.

There is one team currently placed ahead of the Tricolours and that’s the Brisbane Broncos.

They say that timing is everything. If that’s true then this couldn’t be better, as the Roosters will go head-to-head with the Brisbane Broncos this Saturday night in a Top 2 battle. While there will still be two games of the regular season remaining after this weekend, the winner of Saturday’s match will claim the top position on the NRL ladder, placing themselves in a handy position for a Top 2 finish in lead-up to the Finals.

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO:

Let’s rewind to Round 6 of the competition. The Roosters made the trip to Suncorp Stadium, with an epic clash being the result.

This one went down to the wire, though on this occasion it was the Broncos taking out the win at home in a Golden Point thriller.

There were two things in particular that were clear coming out of this match, so let’s start with the obvious.

Things get heated between Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Sam Thaiday:

This was a fiery battle, with both forwards finding each other all night and being anything but unclear about their intentions.

This isn’t the first time that these two have had on-field altercations, with plenty of fierce moments in the All-Stars clash a couple of years ago.

Two of the fiercest competitors for their respective sides will be back at it this Saturday night!
Whose side are you on!?

CLASSY HALVES: Whether you like the razzle dazzle run and gun style of Anthony Milford and Ben Hunt, or the controlled clinical style of James Maloney and Mitchell Pearce, this is arguably the most exciting halves match-up in the competition.

Depending on how well each team rolls up the middle, the halves battle in this one is crucial.
