Ahead of the Roosters Round 14 clash with the Melbourne Storm at Allianz Stadium, Captain Jake Friend, Blake Ferguson and Dale Copley spoke to the media about a wide range of topics.

They spoke about the buzz around the Club after last week's win, the challenge of facing the Melbourne Storm, what they expect at the back-end of the season and Jake Friend spoke on the challenge of handling Cameron Smith.

He's the Maroons and Kangaroos Captain, and Friend is excited about the challenge of going head-to-head with the opposition hooker.

"I say it everytime I come up against one of the best hookers in the game, and he is the best," he said of Cameron Smith.

"It's always challenging for myself, but it's a challenge that I enjoy.

"Not only the battle against Cam (Smith), but against the whole Melbourne side."
