NRL Head Coach Trent Robinson has named an 18-man side to face the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium on Thursday night.

Coming off the final bye of the season last week, the Roosters are now looking to build big at the back end of the season.

The task won't be easy against an in-form Bulldogs side, but there's no doubt they'll be up to the challenge.

Mitchell Pearce returns to the side this week, which will see Jackson Hastings shift to the five eighth position and Ryan Matterson to 18th man on the bench.

Blake Ferguson returns from Origin duty at centre this week, with Joseph Manu coming out of the side and Shaun Kenny-Dowall shuffling to the wing.

Aidan Guerra will take his place in the second-row, which sees Dylan Napa back in the forward position and Sam Moa to the bench.
