The Sydney Roosters have today confirmed that prop-forward Kane Evans will depart the Club at the end of the season to take up a three-year deal with another NRL club.

Sydney Roosters CEO Joe Kelly said: “A popular clubman, Kane has been a significant contributor to the Sydney Roosters since he joined the Club as a 17-year-old and we respect his decision to secure his long-term playing future.

“We wish Kane all the very best in his career going forward, however in the short-term, we look forward to Kane continuing to be an integral member of our squad for the remainder of the year,” he added.

“The Roosters have played such a huge part in helping me become the man I am today and I’ll be eternally grateful to Robbo, the players and all the staff at the Club for that and the lifelong friendships I’ve made along the way,” said Kane Evans.

“Looking ahead, I’m pleased to have my future sorted out, but for now, I’m just determined to give my all for the rest of the season and thank everyone at the Roosters for all their support over the years,” he added.
