Tarsha Gale Under 18s Fall To Sharks

In their debut at Allianz Stadium, the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy Under 18s Girls have gone down 22-52 to the Cronulla Sharks.

The Sharks looked flashy with the ball in the opening minutes and were rewarded with points in their first attacking set of six.

It didn’t take the Roosters long to hit back though as they scored their first points of the game just five minutes later when Shataya King darted over out of dummy-half on the left edge.

The Sharks didn’t take long to hit back through speedster Faith Nathan on the wing, sprinting from halfway and planting it down between the uprights.

To kick off the second quarter, the Sharks scored two tries in quick succession to gift themselves a handy lead early on.

The Roosters weren’t willing to lay down though as they came back with back-to-back tries to bring the scores to within a converted try through Shataya King and Beverly Beale out of dummy-half.

Much like they did to start the second quarter, the third quarter started perfectly for the Sharks as they ran in back-to-back tries to push their lead out to sixteen points.

The young Roosters had their backs against the wall as they allowed a third unanswered try just minutes later through Faith Nathan.

There were some back-and-forth moments at the back end of the clash, but ultimately the Sharks walked away convincing winners.
