The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest has hit the magic three-million-dollar mark following the Round 19 match between the Sydney Roosters and Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
Established in 2010, the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest sees Roosters major partner Steggles donate $1,000 for every point the Roosters defeat the opposition by in 2018, with the Roosters contributing $250 per point.
The Roosters Round 19 32-point win netted $40,000 for the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest, taking the total amount raised to an impressive $3,025,482.
The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest supports local children's charities Lifestart, Children's Hospital Foundation and the Children's Cancer Institute Australia.
"Both Steggles and the Roosters share a long and proud history, with a commitment to assisting our community where we can, and a key component of our partnership since 2010 is the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest," said Easts Group CEO Scott Bennetts.
"We are incredibly proud to have reached the $3 million milestone in funds raised, and we applaud Steggles for their ongoing commitment to a number of Australian Children's charities," added Mr Bennetts.
Steggles Managing Director, Simon Camilleri, said: "The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest is something everyone involved in our organisation is very proud of, and we are also proud of the effort of the Roosters team so far this year in helping us reach this wonderful $3 million milestone in funds raised for our nominated Australian Children's charities."
