Game In Focus | Cowboys 2017

While Latrell Mitchell got his side off to a hot start with a flashy long-range four pointer, the Cowboys would go on to well and truly dominate the first stanza of the match with three unanswered tries.

Former Rooster Kane Linnett was the first to go over, followed by Kyle Feldt on the opposite side of the field just minutes later.

Coen Hess scored a barging four-pointer to close out the first half that the Bunker had to spend a fair amount of time investigating before giving the green light.

The second half started in similar fashion to the first as the Roosters switched their focus to attack mode and forced their way back into the match with a well executed team try finished by Daniel Tupou.

Siosiua Taukeiaho was a man on a mission in the second half and that was rewarded with the try that leveled the scores after a barging effort from the big man.

Luke Keary sprinted his way through the defensive line on the fifth tackle to complete the comeback and put his side ahead by four.

The Cowboys were unwilling to give up which resulted in some intense back-and-forth football in the closing twenty minutes, but the Roosters defence did well to hang on and claim a hard earned two competition points.
