The decision has today been made to cancel the Sydney Roosters Women's trial against the North Sydney Bears, due to player unavailability.
The trial was originally scheduled to take place this Saturday, August 25 at Allianz Stadium against the North Sydney Bears.
However, the Club today received notification that the Bears were unable to field a team for the proposed trial.
"We appreciate all the efforts of the North Sydney Bears who have gone out of their way in an attempt to help facilitate a trial," said Roosters Manager Football Partnerships & Programs, Craig Walker.
"While it is disappointing that our Women's team won't be playing a trial prior to the opening round of the competition, I can assure you that the team will continue with their hard work and preparation in lead-up to the Premiership kicking off next month," he added.
In lieu of a trial, the Roosters Women's team will be training on Allianz Stadium at 6.20pm this Saturday, August 25 prior to the Round 24 NRL match between the Roosters and Broncos which is scheduled to kick off at 7.35pm.
Gates will open at 5.30pm and fans are encouraged to head to the ground early to see the Roosters Women's team in action.
