The Sydney Roosters fearless leader was a workhorse in 2018 which resulted in a few accolades throughout an extremely successful campaign. 

In what was an injury free season for Cordner, he led the way with his play all year long. 

He was named as the captain of Brad Fittler's new look New South Wales Blues squad that went on to win the series over the Queensland Maroons. 

Not only did his side go on to win the 2018 Premiership, but he was named as the new captain of the Australian Kangaroos for test matches against New Zealand and Tonga.
