Sydney Roosters players recently took time out of their schedule to visit primary schools in the Eastern Suburbs and Central Coast to promote the important message of wellbeing.
Focused around the importance of sleep, hydration, nutrition, and exercise, the interactive presentation taught the students how to get the most out of life.
As professional athletes, the boys expressed the importance of children getting at least 11 hours sleep a night, eating nutritious food, and drinking plenty of water throughout the day to remain healthy and hydrated.
Some lucky students were given the opportunity to go head to head against the players in special ‘wellbeing challenges’ including a push up challenge, food celebrity heads game, and hydration trivia.
Presented in conjunction with NRL Game Development Officers in the Eastern Suburbs and Central Coast regions, junior league participation was promoted to the local students.
Players shared their stories of joining junior league, how it helped them make new friends, and the sense of belonging they got from joining a team.
