The Last Time We Met the Newcastle Knights was in a grind-it-out battle at McDonald Jones Stadium on a short turnaround for our 2018 State Of Origin representatives.

In front of a crowd of over 18,000 in Newcastle, it was the Roosters that were hot off the blocks, scoring their first points on the back of a long range effort by Latrell Mitchell that was finished off by Luke Keary.
Sione Mata'utia hit straight back though, proving the Knights turned up to challenge on their home turf.
Though it was a back and forth opening stanza, it would be Blake Ferguson to strike next at the back end of the first half and again on the back of a clever short side play to kick off the second half.
Some clever play from Kalyn Ponga set up a nail-biting finish in the final ten minutes of the match, but the Roosters tough defence held on for a gritty win.
They'll need to be at their best on Friday night when they take on the Knights again at McDonald Jones Stadium in Round 11!
