The Sydney Roosters squad have been assessed following our Round 11 match against the Newcastle Knights.
Luke Keary sustained a head injury early in the first half of the match and was unable to return to the field.
He will undergo standard HIA protocol and will be further assessed later in the week.
For the welfare of Keary moving forward, the Roosters and New South Wales Blues medical staff made the decision to rule him out of contention for State Of Origin 1.
The remaining members of the NRL squad made it through the match without concern and will be available for selection next week when we face the Penrith Panthers in Round 13.
