Dear Members and Supporters,
The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation continues to evolve and measures are being put in place to minimise the impact on the community.
You may have heard by now that the Federal Government has suspended any non-essential organised gatherings of more than 500 people from this coming Monday.
Based on this advice, all Round 2 NRL matches, including our game against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Central Coast Stadium, will be played behind closed doors.
We know that you will be disappointed, but now as much as ever, we value your constant support and understanding. The safety and health of our players, staff, Members and supporters will always be at the forefront of any decision the Club makes.
We have introduced changes to our protocols and procedures based on the advice of health officials, some of which will directly impact our Members and supporters including:
- Postponing Club events and community appearances until further notice including the Members BBQ to be held at Waverley Bowling Club on Saturday 21 March;
- Advising players to minimise contact with the public by avoiding handshakes, autographs and selfies to limit the risk of infection;
- Restricting access to the Club’s administration office at Moore Park;
- Taking additional steps to ensure enhanced hygiene at training and playing facilities.
We understand our Members and supporters will have further questions regarding Membership, pre-purchased tickets and hospitality. We need time to assess this unprecedented situation and it’s our intention to provide updates as soon as information comes to hand.
Please understand that our staff won’t be able to provide answers over the phone or email at this point, with all updates to be shared via email, Club website, social media and app.
From everyone at the Club, thank you for your unwavering support and take care.
Joe Kelly
