2015: Sydney Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall extends his contract with the club until the end of the 2017 season.
MAY 12
1996: Brad Fittler retains the captaincy of the NSW side ahead of Laurie Daley when ARL chairman Ken Arthurson announces the Blues lineup for the first game of the 1996 State of Origin series
2013: Sydney Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves becomes the first player sent from the field in 2013 following a high tackle on Manly prop George Rose. Waerea-Hargreaves later accepts a guilty plea for a grade one reckless high tackle and is suspended for five matches.
2019: The Sydney Roosters hold on to beat a fast-finishing Canberra 30-24 at Suncorp Stadium despite losing skipper Boyd Cordner to concussion after 12 minutes and winger Daniel Tupou to a neck injury, while star centre Latrell Mitchell raises concern when he limps from the field after scoring a second first-half try before returning later in the game.

1997: NSW captain Brad Fittler criticises the Blues’ new jersey and says it should never have been changed.
2003: The Daily Telegraph claims that City Origin’s forward pack of Luke Ricketson, Bryan Fletcher, Steve Menzies, Robbie Kearns, Craig Wing and Jason Stevens is the most experienced forward pack in representative history. The six have played a combined tally of 1,135 first grade games
2009: Sydney Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce moves to initiate a shift in the game’s culture by announcing that the wives and girlfriends of players will be invited into camp for away matches.
2011: Sydney Roosters second-rower Mitchell Aubusson suffers a dislocated shoulder at training and may not play again in 2011.
MAY 14
2001: St George Illawarra captain Craig Smith is cited for a careless high tackle on Sydney Roosters centre Matt Sing and faces six weeks on the sidelines if found guilty of the offence.
MAY 15
2008: Sydney Roosters prop David Shillington signs a four-year contract with the Canberra Raiders.
2011: Roosters five-eighth Todd Carney makes his return from a club-imposed suspension against the Cronulla Sharks.
MAY 16
1992: Easts fullback Rod Silva suffers a fractured jaw in a match against Cronulla and is sidelined for the season. Sharks’ prop Les Davidson is later suspended for seven weeks by the NSWRL judiciary.
2001: The Sydney Roosters re-sign second-rower Craig Fitzgibbon for a further two seasons.
2004: Roosters international Craig Wing re-signs with the club until the end of 2007.
2004: Sydney Roosters coaching director Phil Gould says the club has been forced to inform stalwart forward Luke Ricketson that they might not have room under the salary cap to retain him beyond 2004.
2008: Overlooked by State of Origin selectors, Sydney Roosters’ five-eighth Braith Anasta, turns on a five-star display in his team’s 32-12 defeat of Parramatta.
2016: The Sydney Roosters’ finals hopes take a turn for the worse when they are thrashed 26-6 by the Gold Coast at Cbus Super Stadium.
MAY 17
2000: The Daily Telegraph reports that Sydney Roosters chairman Nick Politis has resigned from his positions on the NSWRL and ARL boards.
2009: Sydney Roosters veteran Craig Fitzgibbon agrees to a one-year deal with English Super League club Hull FC.
2011: The Sydney Roosters agree to release Queensland forward Nate Myles from the final year of his contract to ease salary cap pressures at the club. Myles signs a four-year contract with the Gold Coast Titans.
2014: Sydney Roosters second-rower Boyd Cordner suffers an ankle syndesmosis injury in his team’s 42-10 loss to North Queensland at 1300SMILES Stadium, ruling him out of the opening State of Origin match on May 28.
