After a challenging pre-season and tough trial games, Sydney Roosters juniors will find out this Saturday if they have earned a spot in the final squads.
Squads for the Tarsha Gale, Harold Matthews and SG Ball will be finalised this week, with the Club hoping to do a presentation within COVID guidelines after training this Saturday to celebrate the young players.
Sydney Roosters Head of Recruitment and Junior Player Development Daniel Anderson said earning a call up into the final squad is a great reward for all the hard work.
“They deserve it. They train hard,” Anderson said.
They deserve everything they get these young kids and the parents that support them, and I am just happy for all of them.

“For some of them it is going to be the highest level they ever play, and for some it is a stepping stone.
“Whatever every individual has got to do in three weeks, three years or 10 years, it starts next Saturday so I am really happy for them.”
Competition for positions has been fierce this year, with all players working extremely hard since pre-season began in November.
The first trial on January 16 was the first time the juniors had pulled on the Club’s jersey in 10 months after the 2020 season was suspended in March at the end of round 6 due to the initial COVID-19 outbreak.
The second and final trial at Wyong last Saturday was the player’s last chance to put forward their case to be part of the squad and first 17 for round one.
