UPDATE: Line Up for Round 1 vs Manly Announced

The Sydney Roosters are proud to announce our line up to take on the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles for this Saturday's blockbuster Round 1 clash at the hallowed Sydney Cricket Ground.

Sydney Roosters vs Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles kick-off 5:30pm

Head Coach Trent Robinson has made his first change to the side, with Matt Ikuvalu and Freddy Lussick both dropping off from the extended bench 24-hours prior to the game's kick-off.

The biggest news for the Tricolours comes as tearaway front rower Lindsay Collins earns a starting spot after an impressive pre-season coming off a victorious State of Origin series with Queensland.

Young half Lachlan Lam has won the nod to line up at five-eighth, while veteran Isaac Liu will lock up the scrum in the no.13 jersey.

All all-star backline headed by James Tedesco, Daniel Tupou, Joseph Manu and Brett and Josh Morris will be looking to continue their try-scoring form from 2020, with Luke Keary leading the charge in his first game as first-choice halfback.

Jake Friend will once again lead out the side, joined by Collins, Sio Siua Taukeiaho, Sitili Tupouniua and Angus Crichton in what shapes up as a powerful forward pack.

New Rooster Adam Keighran will make his Club debut in the famous Red, White and Blue, being named on the interchange bench, and is joined by Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Nat Butcher and young tearaway Daniel Suluka-Fifita.

Duo Victor Radley and Sam Verrills continue to push for a return to the side in the early rounds of the competition.

Get to Know - Adam Keighran

There will be plenty of matchups to look forward to in this clash, particularly in the halves as Luke Keary and Daly Cherry-Evans lead their respective sides in the no.7 jerseys.

Up front, representative second rower Angus Crichton will be determined to continue his strong trial form when he comes head-to-head with fellow New South Welshman Jake Trbojevic.

The matchup will be the 146th time the teams have met and the first encounter at the hallowed Sydney Cricket Ground since 1987.
