UPDATE: Roosters announce 19-man squad

Trent Robinson has updated his 19-man squad. Victor Radley has been withdrawn from the squad for precautionary reasons after presenting with a minor shoulder complaint at the teams Captain’s Run. Drew Hutchison will move to the bench and Sam Walker will drop off the team sheet. Matt Ikuvalu and Fletcher Baker remain ready in reserves.

The Sydney Roosters are proud to announce the line up to take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs for this Friday night's Round 3 double-header blockbuster at Stadium Australia.

The Tricolours welcome back Angus Crichton from a one-match suspension, while Victor Radley has been named to make his long-awaited return from an ACL rupture sustained in mid-2020.

Trent Robinson has retained the majority of his side from last Sunday's victory over the Wests Tigers, with Crichton and Radley coming in for Drew Hutchison and rookie Fletcher Baker, while Nat Butcher reverts to the interchange bench.

The Red, White and Blue will be looking to win their first three games in a row for the first time since 2017 as they enter the first leg of the Ron Coote Cup, while Members and fans will also be able to watch the next generation of Roosters in action as feeder club North Sydney Bears take on the Rabbitohs in the Knock On Effect NSW Cup game at 5:40pm.

All eyes will no doubt be looking over the matchup between James Tedesco and Latrell Mitchell, with both fullbacks providing plenty of highlights between them in the opening few rounds of the season, while halfbacks Luke Keary and Adam Reynolds will also be determined to guide their respective teams to victory.

If you can't cheer on the Tricolours at Stadium Australia, you're in luck - as Roosters Members and fans are invited to the official opening of Artie’s Sports Bar – named after Roosters legend Arthur Beetson - at Easts Bondi Junction.

Media personality Gus Worland and Roosters legend Anthony Minichiello will get everyone pumped up for the big clash against the Rabbitohs with pre-game analysis, with live music after the game also part of the night's entertainment.
