As the North Sydney Bears and Central Coast Roosters enjoying the Easter long weekend with the Bye, the Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg took the field to play the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks on Good Friday.
Jersey Flegg Roosters Fall Short to Sharks
The Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg side mounted a late comeback but fell short to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Shark Park on Good Friday in their Round 4 clash.
Kicking off at 12pm, Easts fought hard in the first half, but errors and lack of possession would cruel the side throughout the match, finishing with just 39% of the ball and with a 47% completion rate.
Their opponents would shoot out to a 20-nil lead at half-time, and while the Tricolours kept their opponents scoreless in the second stanza, tries to Corey Fenning and Jack Stringer wouldn't be enough as the final scoreboard read 20-10 in favour of their opponents.
Round 5 of the Pathways will see the Jersey Flegg Roosters play the Parramatta Eels, while the North Sydney Bears return to North Sydney Oval to take on Newtown as the Central Coast Roosters host the Glebe Dirty Reds at Morry Breen Oval.
Sydney Roosters 10 (Corey Fenning, Jack Stringer tries; Corey Fenning goal) def by Cronulla Sutherland-Sharks 20.
