Sydney Roosters fullback has been appointed captain of the NSW Blues for the 2021 State of Origin series.
Tedesco, who was appointed vice-captain in 2019, will lead the Blues in the 2021 series, having taken up the mantle as Roosters skipper through the majority of the NRL season so far.
NSW Blues Head Coach and Roosters Club Legend Brad Fittler said he was confident in the 19-man squad named to take on QLD in Game I of the series on June 9.

“I’m really happy with the squad we’ve announced to face the Maroons for the opening game of the series,” Fittler said.
“We’ve got a good mix of players from in-form teams and players who have worn the NSW Blues jumper with distinction in the past and never let their state down.
“I’m looking forward to working with all the players in camp and I’m confident our preparation will stand us in good stead to try and win back the Origin Shield.”
Tedesco has played 13 State of Origin matches thus far since debuting in 2016, scoring 7 tries including the memorable series-sealing try in Game III 2019.
