Sydney Roosters second rower Angus Crichton has been added to the NSW Blues State of Origin squad to play the Queensland Maroons in Game II of the 2021 series alongside Captain James Tedesco.
Crichton initially missed selection for Game I due to a two-match suspension but has been named in Brad Fittler's squad for the second game of the series at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday June 27.
Speaking on Channel 9, Fittler welcomed Crichton back into the Blues squad, having already made seven appearances in the sky blue since debuting in 2018.
"Angus has done a great job for us in the past," he said.
"He was one of the best players. He can play on the middle or edge."
