Round 22 Match Highlights: Roosters vs Broncos

Taking on the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium to open the final month of the season, the Sydney Roosters arrived intent on bouncing back from a loss in the previous week.

Despite the home side getting on the board first, the Tricolours struck back with the reliable Isaac Liu crashing over on the edge, highlighting an intense and physical start to the match.

Momentum continued to swing back and forth with the Broncos taking the lead again before Dale Copley touched down in his first appearance for the Roosters since 2016, with the scores level 12-all at the break.

A frustrating start to the second half saw neither side able to convert their opportunities into points, and while Brisbane eventually took back the lead heading into the third quarter, Trent Robinson's men were quick to reply with a try of their own from a rampaging Siosiua Taukeiaho bust.

A Sam Walker field goal in the 72nd minute gave the Roosters the lead for the first time, but a penalty in front of the posts saw them trail by a single point in the shadows of full-time.

Keighran Drills Pressure Kick to Win it

Not to be deterred, Easts continued to make their way upfield - and following a head-high shot on Sitili Tupouniua, an opportunity to take the two competition points presented itself.

Standing 20 metres out and ten metres infield, sharpshooter utility Adam Keighran calmly slotted a tricky penalty goal to give his side a 21-20 lead, and from there the Roosters held on to secure a memorable victory en route to the finals.
