Update: NRLW Line Up for Round 3 vs Knights

The Roosters' side to take on the Newcastle Knights at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday afternoon has been trimmed 24 hours prior to kick-off. 

John Strange's side remains 1-17 as named on Tuesday. 

Lauretta Leao-Seve, Otesa Pule, Claire Reed, Joeli Morris and Taylor-Adeline Mapusua drop off the extended bench, with Shawden Burton and Samantha Economos named as 18th and 19th person respectively. 

The final line up will be available one hour prior to kick-off at 11:50am

The Sydney Roosters are proud to announce the NRLW Round 3 line up to take on the Newcastle Knights at the Sydney Cricket Ground this Saturday afternoon.

History will be created as the Club celebrates its first regular-season double header with both the NRL and NRLW sides taking the field against the Newcastle Knights.

NRLW Sydney Roosters vs Newcastle Knights kick-off:  12:50pm
NRL Sydney Roosters vs Newcastle Knights kick-off: 3:00pm

The NRLW match will kick-off at 12:50pm with the Tricolours taking on the Knights for the very first time in a bid to claim their first win of the season following two valiant performances in the opening two rounds. The NRL side also kicks off their campaign at 3:00pm.

The match also marks the first time that the Roosters take the field on the hallowed Sydney Cricket Ground in the NRLW since the competition's inception in 2018. 

Corban Baxter takes her place as fullback and captain for the first time in season 2021, joined in the backline by Leianne Tufuga, Jessica Sergis, Isabelle Kelly and Brydie Parker, who reverts back to the wing.

The halves pairing of Jocelyn Kelleher and Raecene McGregor has been retained from last week, while Sarah Togatuki returns to the front row alongside Olivia Higgins and Tayla Predebon.

Yasmin Meakes also reverts back to the second row where she started in Round 1, pairing up with try-scorer Olivia Kernick and interim captain Hannah Southwell.

Zahara Temara has been retained as bench utility alongside young trio Keilee Joseph, Mya Hill-Moana and Simone Karpani on the interchange, while Shawden Burton has been named as 18th person. 

The extended bench features Samantha Economos, Lauretta Leao-Seve, Otesa Pule, Claire Reed, Joeli Morris and Taylor-Adeline Mapusua.
