NRLW Round 3 Highlights: Roosters vs Knights

Following their historic win last Saturday at the SCG, John Strange has named his 24-player squad to take on the Parramatta Eels for the very first time at NRLW level.

Captain Corban Baxter takes her place at fullback once again, joined by Leianne Tufuga, Jessica Sergis, Isabelle Kelly and Taylor-Adeline Mapusua in the backline.

Following a strong performance against the Knights, Zahara Temara returns to the starting side alongside Raecene McGregor in the halves, while Sarah Togatuki, Olivia Higgins and Mya Hill-Moana line up in the front row.

Rounding off the starting side is Yasmin Meakes and Olivia Kernick in the back row, while Hannah Southwell locks up the scrum in the no.13.

The interchange bench features Jocelyn Kelleher, Keilee Joseph, Tayla Predebon and the returning Samantha Economos.

Simone Karpani, Shawden Burton, Lauretta Leao-Seve, Otesa Pule, Claire Reed, Joeli Morris and Pani Hopoate round off the 24-player squad on the extended bench.

The Roosters take on the Eels for the very first time at NRLW level, and there will be plenty of fireworks expected in this one, with a host of former players lining up for Parramatta on Sunday afternoon.

Easts will be aiming to claim their second consecutive win of the season following the emphatic 28-12 win over the Newcastle Knights on Saturday afternoon with the NRLW finals looming in just over a fortnight's time.
