After yet another gruelling NRL season which saw him run 1966 metres and make 886 tackles, Nat Butcher is looking to take on a different kind of challenge for a worthy cause.
One of the Club's stand-out community leaders who has been a frequent contributor to the Sydney Roosters' charitable causes is once again teaming up with Ronald McDonald House to help fundraise money for those in need.
On October 29, Butcher - a Ronald McDonald House Ambassador - will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge, an 18km day-long trek that will see him climb to the summits of Mount Carruthers (2145m), Etheridge Ridge (2180m) and finally, Mount Kosciuszko (2228m) - Australia's highest peak.
The Three Peaks Challenge will be accepting all donations - which will ensure sick children can experience an improved clinical journey, assist in their care from admission to recovery and their transition back to everyday life, and provide a safe and supportive space for families while lessening the burden on hospital resources.
It also highlights the strong partnership forged between the Steggles Charity Nest and Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, one that has been strong since 2010.
