The Sydney Roosters have once again assembled an exciting roster for the 2023 season, one that will be in the hunt to capture the Club's 16th NRL Premiership.

The Arrivals
Corey Allan (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs), Jaxson Paulo (South Sydney Rabbitohs), Brandon Smith (Melbourne Storm), Jake Turpin (Brisbane Broncos)
Four players have been signed up heading into 2023 with Corey Allan, Jaxson Paulo, Brandon Smith and Jake Turpin the newest faces at Roosters HQ.
The Club's most recent acquisition, Corey Allan, joins the Roosters via the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on a one-year deal with immediate effect. A specialist fullback, the 24-year-old is able to play anywhere in the backline and has already featured in the State of Origin arena for Queensland.
Able to play anywhere in the backline, 23-year-old Jaxson Paulo arrives from South Sydney where he played 43 matches, including the 2021 NRL Grand Final. A Samoan international, Paulo will provide plenty of skill and speed to a backline already brimming with talent.
Explosive with and without the ball, Brandon Smith has been signed as the Club's primary hooker for 2023, having played 107 matches at the Melbourne Storm which includes the 2020 Grand Final triumph.
A New Zealand international and 2021 World Cup representative, 26-year-old Smith looms as one of the most exciting additions to the Tricolours roster heading into 2023.
Jake Turpin, 25, arrives at the Club following 60 matches for the Brisbane Broncos since making his NRL debut in 2018, adding to the Club's depth in the hooking department.
The Departures
Renouf Atoni (Wakefield Trinity), Oliver Gildart (Dolphins), Adam Keighran (Catalans Dragons), Kevin Naiqama (Huddersfield Giants), Siosiua Taukeiaho (Catalans Dragons), Sam Verrills (Gold Coast Titans)
A handful of players from 2022 have departed the Club ahead of the 2023 campaign.
Front rower Renouf Atoni has been granted a release from his contract to take up an opportunity in the English Super League, after arriving at the Roosters for the 2022 season.
Oliver Gildart, who joined the squad briefly at the back end of the year on loan from the Wests Tigers has joined the Dolphins for their inaugural season, after playing two matches for the Roosters.
Following two seasons at the Club, culminating in 17 appearances and 86 points from four tries and 35 goals, utility Adam Keighran departs the Tricolours to France with the Catalans Dragons.
Veteran Kevin Naiqama returns to the English Super League after a sole season at Bondi, which saw him notch up seven appearances in the Red, White and Blue as a reliable option in the outside backs.
After 168 games for the Roosters, hulking forward Siosiua Taukeiaho's incredible career at the Club comes to an end, which saw him contribute to the 2018 and 2019 Premierships, as well as the 2019 and 2020 World Club Challenge victories.
Similarly, hooker Sam Verrills will head north to the Gold Coast after making his NRL debut with the Tricolours in 2019, playing a key role in the Grand Final victory which saw him open the scoring with a memorable try before taking over the role vacated by Club Legend Jake Friend.
The Graduates
Thomas Deakin, Vuate Karawalevu, Sandon Smith, Robert Toia
Four exciting youngsters have graduated from the Club's pathways system and are looking to etch themselves in Roosters history by taking the NRL by storm, with three named as development players for 2023.
Playing at hooker and from the interchange in his nine appearances in the NSW Cup in 2022, Thomas Deakin has graduated to the Club's development list and will be pushing for an NRL debut throughout the season.
A flying winger and try-scoring specialist, Vuate Karawalevu will be looking to propel himself into an NRL debut in 2023 after graduating to the NSW Cup in 2022, culminating in his international debut for Fiji in the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.
Sandon Smith is a talented young half who is the first graduate from the Central Coast juniors program, and has plied his trade over the last 18 months in the NSW Cup with the North Sydney Bears.
A damaging centre, Robert Toia was a key member of the Club's SG Ball Cup side that claimed the Minor Premiership and reached the 2023 Grand Final, with his efforts rewarded with a spot in the Queensland side in the Under 19s State of Origin series.
