The Sydney Roosters are thrilled to announce that Sam Walker has re-committed to the Club for a further two years, keeping him at the Tricolours until at least the end of 2025.

“I love the Roosters Club and the people in it so I’m stoked to extend my time here. From ‘Robbo’ and the coaches to the squad around me, I’m learning so much and I know this is where I’ll play my best footy,” he added.
Roosters Head of Recruitment Daniel Anderson was also pleased to have Walker locked in to the Club’s long-term plans.

“Sam is an impressive young man and a keen student of the game who brings energy to everything he does,” said Anderson.
“There’s a terrific connection between him and the players around him and it's great news that he will continue to play his important role here at the Roosters in the coming years,” he added.
The 20-year-old halfback has played 46 games in the top grade since making his NRL debut with the Roosters at the age of 18.

Walker completed his debut season as the Dally M Rookie of the Year and he was named in the Maroons’ extended squad for Game 3 of the 2022 State of Origin series.
Most recently, he was recognised for his strong 2022 season with selection to represent the Prime Minister’s XIII.
