The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce Hyundai Motor Company Australia (Hyundai) have joined the Club as a Platinum Partner and official automotive partner, with the leading car manufacturer to feature on the famed Tricolour Jersey for the next three seasons.
Hyundai is very excited about the new partnership that will see the two brands closely aligned for the next three years, taking branding position on the lower back of Jersey.
Hyundai Motor Company Australia CEO Ted Lee, said: “Hyundai is proud to enter this new partnership with one of Australia’s iconic sporting teams, the Sydney Roosters.
“At Hyundai we are committed to engineering the ultimate driving experience through innovative technologies, and we feel that this aligns with the Sydney Roosters who are at the forefront of innovation in rugby league. And like Hyundai, they too are in a constant pursuit of excellence.”
Hyundai has had a presence in Australia for almost 40 years. In 2003, Hyundai Motor Company Australia was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Korean parent company. Hyundai is the fastest growing automotive brand in Australia, and is recognised as a global leader in design, safety and quality who prides itself on building cars that deliver affordable technology to all Australians.
Welcoming the partnership with the Club, Sydney Roosters CEO Joe Kelly, said: “We are delighted to enter in to this significant partnership with Hyundai.
“Hyundai is an innovative leader in the automotive space, and there is a genuine alignment in the core values of both our organisations, so we are delighted to enter this significant partnership with a world-class brand like Hyundai and we look forward to working with them on a number of new initiatives in the coming years.”
Hyundai will feature on the lower back of the Sydney Roosters jersey and training shirt for the next three seasons with immediate effect.
In forming this new partnership with Hyundai, this completes the opportunity to appear on the Sydney Roosters kit in 2023. Further, the Club will enter the upcoming NRL season with the corporate value of the Club’s playing kit at its highest in the Club’s 115-year history.
