Sydney Roosters are proud to announce line-up for the Club’s 100th NRL game against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks to be played this Friday evening at PointsBet Stadium.

The Red, White and Blue are focused on continuing their win streak against the Sharks, having not lost to their Sutherland counterparts since July of 2017. In 2022, the Tricolours cruised to a 20-point victory in Indigenous Round to make it four-straight wins at the venue.

With gates set to open at 3:30pm, Members and fans will be treated to a double-header as the league-leading Jersey Flegg Roosters go head-to-head with the Sharks at 3:45pm before the NRL match kicks off at 6:00pm.

Trent Robinson has named a 22-man roster, with the inclusion of captain James Tedesco who returns to the team at fullback after suffering a concussion in Round 5.

Tedesco’s return sees Joseph Manu resume his role in the centres, while Matt Lodge has been named on the interchange bench after making a full recovery from a facial fracture suffered in Round 1.

A hat-trick away from levelling the Roosters’ all-time try-scoring record, Daniel Tupou lines up on the wing again this week, as does 23-year-old Jaxson Paulo, who has claimed six tries in just five games to start the 2023 season. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and Joseph Manu complete the back line in the centres.

Luke Keary and Sam Walker combine in the halves again for Round 7, while Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Brandon Smith and Lindsay Collins round out the front row.

Egan and Nat Butcher retain their spots in their second row, after both making a game-high 49 tackles apiece last week against the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park. English International Victor Radley completes the Roosters’ starting 13 at Lock.

Robinson has named utility Drew Hutchison as well as towering forwards Naufahu Whyte, Terrell May and Matt Lodge on the interchange bench to face the Sharks.

Corey Allan, Siua Wong, Paul Momirovski, Jake Turpin and Elie El-Zakhem have been included on the extended bench.
