NSW Cup Team List: Round 7 vs Jets

Sydney Roosters are proud to announce the NSW Cup line-up, that includes three forwards who will hit the field for the first time in 2023, to face the Newtown Jets at Henson Park on Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm.

Coming off an impressive 26-0 win over the Canberra Raiders at Belconnen Oval on Good Friday, the Roosters will aim to continue their Round 6 form into this weekend's game.

Cook Islands International and proud Queenslander Dylan Napa makes his return to Australian rugby league after a stint at the Catalans Dragons in the English Super League. While second rower Angus Crichton will don the Tricolours jersey for the first time in 2023 after a successful World Cup campaign representing Australia.

Saturday also marks the first time Nathan Brown will play in the Red, White and Blue after the NSW Blues representative front rower inked a one-year deal that will see him remain at Bondi until the end of the year.

After making his Roosters NRL debut in Round 5 against the Parramatta Eels, Corey Allan will start at fullback on Saturday, with wingers Allan Fitzgibbon and Jade Anderson rounding out the back line.

Fresh off an impressive Round 6 performance, Ethan Clark-Wood retains his position in the centres while Noel Aukafolau enters the starting side in jersey no.4.

The halves pairing consists of Joseph Taipari at five-eighth and captain Sandon Smith at halfback, who both played significant roles in the Roosters’ recent win over the Raiders in Canberra.

Napa, Tyler Moriarty and Fijian International Siua Wong combine in the front row, while Crichton and Elie El-Zakhem bolster the engine room, lining up in the second row. Brown completes the starting 13 at Lock.

Thomas Deakin, Riley Meyn, Josh Bevan and Tayson Fakaosi make up the interchange bench. Edenn Rogers-Smith has been confirmed as the 18th player.
