Pilot Medical Update: Round 11

The Sydney Roosters squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Round 11 clash with the Penrith Panthers at BlueBet Stadium.

An MRI has confirmed Jared Waerea-Hargreaves sustained a low grade right pectoral strain on Friday evening. He will be monitored by Club medical and rehabilitation staff in lead up to Round 12

An MRI has also confirmed Joseph Manu sustained moderate damage to the ligament in his right ankle, the 26-year-old has commenced the early phases of the rehabilitation process.  

There were no injury concerns for any other players that featured in the match.

Sam Walker will continue to work with Club rehabilitation staff after sustaining an left anterior cruciate ligament sprain.

After completing the NRL’s 11-day concussion stand-down protocol, Egan Butcher has returned to full team training but will be closely monitored by Club medical staff in the lead up to Indigenous Round.

Paul Momirovski had successful stabilisation surgery on his shoulder last week and has commenced the first phase of rehabilitation.

Daniel Tupou is progressing well in his rehabilitation for a grade two left hamstring strain, while Connor Watson has recommenced running drills after sustaining a patella tendon injury in January.

Roosters NSW Cup hooker Tyler Moriarty sustained an acute intervertebral disc injury, he is in the process of consulting with a specialist and will undergo surgery later this week.
