Today we celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of the most momentous days in our Club’s 115-year history.
On May 30, 1993, Nick Politis AM was appointed Chairman of the Sydney Roosters | Easts Group.
The Sydney Roosters and Easts Group have come a long way over the last three decades. Some of the hardest decisions our Chairman has had to make came in the early days of his leadership, but those decisions ensured our survival during the most tumultuous time in the history of the game. Since then, we have thrived to the extent where we report over $160m in net assets at the present time.
Highly respected by everyone in the game, our Chairman’s time, passion and ground-breaking business acumen has assured our long-term position as one of the strongest in the game.
Our Chairman leads our Club’s constant pursuit for excellence and over the last 30 years, the Sydney Roosters have won four NRL Premierships, five Minor Premierships, played in eight Grand finals, won four World Club Challenges, the NRL Nines and its maiden NRLW Premiership.
