Pilot Medical Update: Round 15

The Sydney Roosters squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Round 15 clash with the Penrith Panthers at Allianz Stadium.

There were no injury concerns for any players that featured in the match.

Billy Smith has resumed full team training after the centre sustained a bruised sternum in the lead up to last week’s match.

Over the weekend, both Fletcher Baker and Thomas Deakin failed head injury assessments during their respective NSW Cup matches. Both forwards have commenced early phases of rehabilitation in line with the Club’s concussion protocols.

A specialist has confirmed Robert Toia will not require surgery after the centre sustained a broken jaw at training last week.

Sam Walker will meet with a surgeon this week to review his ACL sprain.
