Steggles & Roosters Partnership to conclude at end of 2024
The Sydney Roosters and Steggles have mutually agreed that season 2024 will be the final season as the Major Partner of the Club.
Joining the Sydney Roosters in 2010, Steggles and the Sydney Roosters formed an iconic partnership that will conclude as the second-longest Major Partnership in the Sydney Roosters history.
Steggles CEO Mr Simon Camilleri highlighted the synergies of the founding history of both organisations.
“The Sydney Roosters are one of the NRL foundation clubs having been in competition since the introduction of rugby league in Australia in 1908. Steggles shares a similar heritage having commenced its business operations back in 1919,” said Mr Camilleri.
“Steggles is proud of our association with the Sydney Roosters and there has been many achievements, both on and off the field.
“Off the field, we are proud to have created the unique Steggles Roosters Charity Nest, which has generated more than $5 million for charities such as Children's Hospital Foundation Queensland, Children's Cancer Institute Australia, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Roosters Outreach program,” he added.
Roosters CEO Joe Kelly echoed those sentiments in his praise for Steggles and their longevity and loyalty to the Roosters.
“Season 2024 will mark 15 seasons together and we could not be more thankful to Steggles for their support,” said Mr Kelly.
“Our Partnership has achieved some amazing milestones and each time Steggles has been there side by side with us, from NRL Premierships at Homebush to the World Club Challenge wins in the United Kingdom. Together with Steggles, we also celebrated the Club’s first-ever NRLW Premiership.
“Additionally, we are pleased that as a Club we could deliver fantastic off-field results for Steggles. Our Members and Fans have embraced Steggles and all they have done for our Club, highlighted by Steggles having a brand recall of 88% in a recent survey of our Members and Fans,” he added.
Mr Camilleri also acknowledged the positive impact of the partnership and is looking forward to celebrating the final year with the Roosters as the Club’s Major Partner.
“On the field, there have been four Minor Premierships and four Grand Final victories across both the NRL and NRLW teams during the term of our sponsorship; and still next year to go,” said Mr Camilleri.
“The partnership has also provided us the opportunity to meet many wonderful people at the Sydney Roosters and we hope to continue these relationships, albeit in a different capacity to being the major partner of the team.
“We sincerely wish the Sydney Roosters every success in the years ahead,” he added.
