Juniors Report Round 6: SG Ball Continue Undefeated Run

The Sydney Roosters SG Ball side continued their strong form on the weekend as they remain undefeated on top of the table, while there were victories in the Tarsha Gale Cup, Lisa Fiaola Cup and Harold Matthews Cup in Round 6.

Meanwhile, the Andrew Johns Cup and Laurie Daley Cup teams enjoyed a bye in the first week of their semi finals before they take the field in their respective campaigns.

Lisa Fiaola Cup | Mixed Results for Young Roosters

Sydney Roosters 4 def by Parramatta Eels 50

It was a tough outing for the Sydney Roosters Lisa Fiaola Cup side, with a heavy defeat to Parramatta 50-4 on the weekend.

The Eels came out of the gates with plenty of intent, with six tries in the opening stanza which saw the Red, White and Blue trail 28-nil after half an hour.

Not to be deterred, the Roosters looked to turn things around in the second half, with centre Faith Drollet touching down, however their opponents managed to continue their momentum to claim victory.

The Sydney Roosters Lisa Fiaola Cup side will look to bounce back as they host the Newcastle Knights at Mascot Oval in their Round 7 match up.

Central Coast Roosters 24 def Penrith Panthers 10

Meanwhile, the Central Coast Roosters took home the two competition points in a solid 24-10 defeat of the Penrith Panthers in their Round 6 match up in Woy Woy.

The Tricolours began proceedings in strong fashion, with centre Mia Vaotuua bagging a first-half hat-trick as they went into the sheds with a solid 20-6 lead.

Both sides only managed one try in the second stanza, with second rower Brandy Simpson touching down for the Roosters, but that mattered little as they ran away with the two competition points in convincing fashion.

The Central Coast Roosters side will take on the Parramatta Eels at Eric Tweedle Stadium in Granville this weekend for their Round 7 clash.

Harold Matthews Cup | Matts Thump Dragons

Sydney Roosters 46 def St George Dragons 16

The Sydney Roosters posted eight tries in their 30-point thumping of the St George Dragons in Round 6 of the Harold Matthews Cup.

Scoring the first three tries of the match, the Tricolours ran rampant early on to maintain a steady lead throughout, with the half-time score reading 24-6 as winger Bailey Roberts-Lintmeijer crossed twice.

The Red, White and Blue continued their dominance in the second half with another four tries, which saw Roberts-Lintmeijer bag a third in the dying stages as they completed their fourth win of the season.

The Sydney Roosters Harold Matthews side will host the Newcastle Knights at Mascot Oval in their Round 7 match this week.

Central Coast Roosters 21 def by Parramatta Eels 28

A late comeback fell short for the Central Coast Roosters in their Round 6 clash, beaten by seven against the Parramatta Eels in an entertaining clash.

The visitors ran out to a 22-point lead with four tries in the first half, with a curious play in the final minute seeing the Roosters getting on the board via a field goal to bridge the gap by 21 at the break.

That move seemed to inspire the Red, White and Blue in the second stanza, scoring four unanswered tries - including a double to fullback and captain Jai Callaghan - however the late rally was not enough to claim an unlikely victory.

The Central Coast Roosters will look to reverse their fortunes when they take on the Penrith Panthers in their Round 7 clash in Woy Woy.

Tarsha Gale Cup | TG Bounce Back in Style

Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy 26 def Parramatta Eels 10

The Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy side bounced back from defeat to post a solid 26-10 victory over the Parramatta Eels in Round 6, despite having two players sent to the sin bin on separate occasions.

Three tries in the opening half set the platform for victory, with Oriana Epati (16th minute), Aliyah Nasio (25th) and Phoenix Lamese (28th) touching down for a handy 18-nil lead.

Nasio bagged her second upon resumption to extend the lead, while Sienna-Mae Montgomery added her name to the scoresheet as the went ahead 26-nil.

Parramatta only troubled the scoreboard with the Tricolours down to twelve players as they crossed twice late in the piece, but that failed to prevent a Roosters victory in the end.

The Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy side will play the Newcastle Knights at Mascot Oval in Round 7.

SG Ball Cup | Roosters Remain Undefeated in Big Win

Sydney Roosters 46 def St George Dragons 10

The Sydney Roosters side have continued their undefeated run, thumping the St George Dragons 46-10 in their Round 6 clash as they remain at the top of the SG Ball Cup table.

A 22-nil lead at the break saw Jake Friend's side post four tries in just under 20 minutes, with Enzo Griffier (14th minute), Baxter Warner (18th), De La Salle Va'a (28th) and Blake Steep (31st) all crossing.

Captain Steep continued the momentum by crossing for his second just minutes into the second half, and while the Dragons struck back with two quick tries, it was all Red, White and Blue in the final ten minutes with a further three tries.

The SG Ball side will take on the Newcastle Knights in Round 7 at Mascot Oval on Saturday afternoon.
