The Sydney Roosters SG Ball side's late charge fell agonisingly short in what was a thrilling match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Henson Park on Saturday afternoon in their semi-final.
It was a slow start for the Tricolours following two weeks off, with the Bulldogs converting their momentum from last week's victory to lead 16-6 at the break, with winger Tyreece Tait scoring late in the piece to give the Roosters some ascendency as the sides went to the sheds.

The Red, White and Blue continued to build into the contest, with five-eighth Jake Elliott scoring just minutes on resumption to close the deficit. However, as the match reached the three-quarter mark, Canterbury responded with two quickfire tries.
The Roosters stormed down their left edge to hit back in kind through Tait and his centre Cooper Toy, but unfortunately, time proved to be the side's biggest obstacle, with the final scoreline reading 28-22 in favour of their opponents.
The Sydney Roosters would like to congratulate all involved in the 2024 SG Ball side for a magnificent season.
