The Sydney Roosters have today announced two additions to the Club’s NRLW Top 24 roster.
Taina Naividi has signed a one-year contract for the 2024 season and has joined the side with immediate effect.
Naividi made her NRLW debut in the delayed 2021 NRLW season (played in 2022) with the Parramatta Eels, playing five games to date. She makes her return to the NRLW with the Roosters after recovering from an ACL injury.
“We’re really fortunate to have secured Taina for the season. She’s fast, agile and a wonderful person, so we’re pleased to welcome her to the Club,” said Roosters NRLW Head Coach, John Strange.
In addition, development list player Eliza Lopamaua has been elevated to the Roosters Top 24 squad, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to developing and nurturing its young talent.
Lopamaua, who was vice captain for the 2022 inaugural Australian School Girls team, has progressed to the Club’s NRLW squad via the Roosters Female Pathway Program.
“It’s been terrific to watch Eliza’s development over the last few years, and her promotion to the Top 24 is well deserved,” said Strange.
“Both Taina and Eliza embody the spirit and determination we value at the Roosters, and I look forward to seeing them thrive this season,” he added.
