A double to winger Jayme Fressard and a powerful display from prop Millie Elliott led the Roosters to a 20-4 victory over Wests Tigers in Gosford on Saturday.

Elliott ran for a whopping 202 metres to lead the way up front and Fressard took her career tally to 15 tries as the Roosters made it back-to-back wins.

Wests Tigers opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when a Roosters short dropout was gathered by Leianne Tufuga who offloaded for Tess Staines to cross for a 4-0 lead.

The Tigers continued to chance their hand in attack and their defence also held firm as they went to the break ahead by four - their first half-time lead of the season.

A blow for Wests Tigers with skipper Kezie Apps forced off with a leg injury early in the second half and the Roosters cashed in immediately with Isabelle Kelly setting up a flying Fressard for her team's opening try to lock it up at 4-4.

On the back of a powerful Amber Hall surge the Roosters earned a repeat set from a Tarryn Aiken grubber but the opportunity went begging when Hall put the ball down early in the set.

With 10 minutes to play the Roosters hit the front when star back-rower Olivia Kernick powered through two defenders to score from close range and Jocelyn Kelleher converted for a 10-4 lead.

The Roosters iced the win in the 68th minute when Jess Sergis found space on the right edge before Fressard made it a double to make the final score 20-4.
